Yes, at O Canto da Terra we require payment in advance in order to complete and maintain your booking. Once the booking procedure has been completed, you will receive a payment request for 100% of the total amount of your stay. Then, in order to confirm and guarantee your booking, that payment must be made within the next 48 hours.
It is important to remember that if you cancel or modify your booking at least 72 hours before your arrival date, no penalties will apply and your payment will be fully refunded. However, any cancellations or modifications occurring less than 72 hours before your arrival date will cause our previously mentioned cancellation policy to apply, and no refunds will be made.
Our aim is to always provide you with quality service, and to ensure availability of your accommodation at O Canto da Terra. The day before your arrival, you will receive a text message at your mobile phone number and/or an email, containing a link where you can complete the online check‑in process by entering your personal details.

Once you have completed the online check‑in procedure, you will receive a message with additional information to facilitate your arrival, along with the location coordinates of O Canto da Terra and the access code for the box where you will pick up your keys.
You will be able to pick up your keys between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. However, if you need to arrange for a later arrival time, please notify us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Our check‑out time is at 11:30 a.m. However, if you think you will need a later check‑out time, please arrange this with us in advance, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your request. However, please bear in mind that this option may have an additional cost, which we will inform you of at the time when you make your request, and it will be subject to availability.
You can reserve our breakfast service when you make your booking at our website, or you may also request it the day prior to your arrival (before 9:00 p.m.) through our catalogue of products and services.
Breakfast is served from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in our dining room. If you would prefer to enjoy your breakfast in your apartment or room, or on your patio, please notify us in advance and you will be able to pick up your breakfast in the dining room.
Our breakfast, made with local products, includes freshly squeezed orange juice, toast, and bica. Hot drinks are available in self-service mode.
If you would like a more complete breakfast, you can book our "O Canto da Terra" breakfast, which, in addition to the items mentioned above, includes fruit, cheese, cold cuts, and yogurt.

At O Canto da Terra, we welcome pets by prior request, with an additional fee based on weight (7€ for up to 10 kg, 10€ for over 10 kg).

No, O Canto da Terra does not offer any specific dinner service or any conventional type of cafeteria. However, we do have a self‑service kitchen and dining area, open 24 hours a day. At O Canto da Terra, we want to ensure that all of our guests can always enjoy a clean and tidy environment. For guests staying in rooms: cleaning service is included in the price of your stay, and is provided every other day between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. It is important to note that in order to respect the privacy and comfort of our guests, the cleaning services will be performed when the rooms are unoccupied.
Towels are changed every other day, while bedding is changed once every four days. This schedule allows us to maintain a balance between the comfort of our guests and our desire to protect the environment.
For guests staying in apartments: you will find your apartment perfectly clean and ready for use when you check in. However, no daily cleaning service is included unless expressly requested. Our team will be happy to schedule additional cleaning during your stay upon request, for an additional charge.

Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, including a refrigerator, countertop or full‑sized oven, coffeemaker, juice squeezer, toaster, and all utensils needed to prepare and serve your own meals. We also provide bedding and towels.
Please note that the apartments do not include a daily cleaning service. However, to ensure your comfort, we change your towels every other day and your bedding every fourth day. If you would like to have additional cleaning services during your stay, please request this in advance, and these services can be provided for an additional cost.
In addition, all guests staying in our apartments will have access to the common services at O Canto da Terra, such as our free parking, wi‑fi Internet, garden areas, living-dining room, and optional breakfast service. Celebrations are only permitted at O Canto da Terra in cases where you have booked the entire house. In addition, please note that only the guests actually staying at the house may participate in the celebration. If your group is booking rooms and/or apartments at O Canto de Terra but not the entire house, you will have to avoid making noise after 11:00 p.m. so that our other guests will not be disturbed.
No, O Canto da Terra does not have its own spa facilities. However, the Augas Santas mineral baths and spa resort is located less than 2 km away, and we have negotiated special discounted prices for our guests there. Augas Santas offers a wide range of spa services and hot mineral bath treatments, with an emphasis on your relaxation and wellbeing. If you are interested in making use of their services, we will be happy to assist you with making reservations. Remember to bring your bathing suit, flip‑flops, and bathing cap, in order to take maximum advantage of your mineral bath and spa experience.
